Iconic Smiles / Composite veneers
Composite veneers. Same day, and conservative.
Composite veneers add composite resin to your teeth to modify and rejuvenate the smile. They often need minimal or no tooth preparation — a conservative option, particularly for patients under the age of 30.

The benefits
- Cost effective
- Same day treatment
- Minimal or no tooth preparation needed
- Aesthetic & functional enhancement
Composite veneers are affordable and can be repaired or replaced at any time. They are, however, prone to stains, chipping and wear over time — so we’ll always talk you through porcelain as well.
They can be hand crafted or digitally designed. A comprehensive treatment plan outlining costs and health insurance rebate item numbers is provided at your initial consultation, and interest-free payment plan options are available.

Standard Composite
One shade of resin applied to the surface of the tooth, without tooth shaving. Performed in a single visit; polish every six months to keep the shine.
One 3 hour visitLayered Composite
Multiple shades of specialised, reinforced composite resin that mimic the detail of a natural white porcelain smile, with improved strength and less risk of chipping. A single visit.
4–5 hours, with a 30 min breakEmpress
A ceramic material twice as strong as composite resin, superior in shine, polishability and strength, with no six-monthly polishing. Made over two appointments.
2–3 hours2–3 hours, 3 weeks later
Hours in the chair (Empress’s two visits are three weeks apart). Every range is followed by a review appointment two weeks later.
The process
Records, design, one visit.
- 01
Records appointment
We take photos and scans of your teeth to fabricate the smile that matches your taste and personality.
- 02
Smile design
Once the smile design process is complete, a ten-tooth composite smile is typically performed in a single visit.
- 03
Review, two weeks later
Every set of veneers is followed up with a review appointment two weeks after treatment.
- 04
Protect them nightly
You are encouraged to wear an occlusal splint nightly to protect your veneers from chipping, for the life of your veneers.
Composite vs porcelain
Affordable today. Porcelain lasts longer.
Composite’s main benefits are affordability and minimal tooth preparation, which makes it particularly useful for younger patients. Over time composite can look more matte, needs regular polishing, can stain and can chip.
We also offer no-prep porcelain veneers. Explore the porcelain collections
